IT for Law Firms
Turkish law firms operate under dual confidentiality obligations: Avukatlık Kanunu Article 36 (attorney-client privilege) and KVKK (personal data). Add UYAP integration, e-signature requirements and high-stakes document workflows — and you need a tightly designed IT layer.
UYAP-Friendly
Compatible workflows — we don't touch UYAP itself.
Dual Confidentiality
Avukatlık Kanunu Art. 36 + KVKK — Sensitivity Labels, DLP.
Document Management
SharePoint with case-file architecture, retention, versioning.
E-Signature
Qualified electronic signature integration where needed.
What's different about law firms
- Two confidentiality regimes — attorney-client privilege (Avukatlık Kanunu Art. 36) + KVKK personal data.
- UYAP integration — daily reality for filings, decisions, document retrieval.
- E-signature — qualified electronic signature for formal filings.
- Case-file lifecycle — long retention (often 10+ years), high search requirements.
- External communication — KEP (registered e-mail), opposing counsel, courts.
- Mobile work — attorneys frequently at court, client offices, abroad.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. UYAP remains its own system. We ensure stable client environment for accessing UYAP and design document workflows that complement it.
Sensitivity Labels include "Privileged — Attorney-Client" tier, encryption-at-rest, restricted external sharing, audit log on access. Combined with KVKK posture, this addresses both confidentiality regimes simultaneously.
Usually not at SMB scale. Per-practice access control within SharePoint + Entra groups provides the segmentation. For very large firms with M&A confidentiality requirements, separate tenant or strict information barrier policies may apply.
Intune-managed laptops with always-on VPN to firm resources, MFA / passkey for identity, Sensitivity Labels for case files. BYOD on personal devices is possible via Intune MAM but discouraged for privileged material.
Qualified electronic signature (per Law 5070) is integrated via certified providers. Internal document signature workflows can use Microsoft 365 e-signature or Adobe Acrobat depending on counterparty requirements.
